Saigon-Quy Nhon Train

Quy Nhon Station
[Quy Nhon Station]

The Saigon-Quy Nhon train is a train service from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon on the South Central Coast.

The train travels along the North-South line from Saigon to Dieu Tri, and from Dieu Tri there is a 10 km branch line to Quy Nhon. This is one of only two branch lines on the North-South railway (along with Phan Thiet).

This service only operates during national holidays, so the service is not always shown on the timetable

Saigon-Quy Nhon train tickets

The Saigon-Quy Nhon service operates during peak holiday periods, including Tet (around January-February), Reunification Day (30 April), and National Day (2 September). Trains operate a few days on either side of those dates.

Future plans for the Quy Nhon branch line

The future North-South high-speed railway will have a stop at Dieu Tri, further inland from the current Dieu Tri Station.

It is not known if the current branch line from Dieu Tri to Quy Nhon will be utilised in some way after the high-speed railway opens. The current branch line travels through some narrow streets in Quy Nhon City, and there is a level crossing in the city centre.
